Being a silly mom
I remember when I was growing up transitioning from a tween to a teen, my mother would goof around just like how she used to be when we were little kids. She'd dance like a lunatic (sorry, Ma) or belt out an old song (she's got nice pipes though!). Her silliness would often times annoy me and my sisters back then. Not as mad kind of annoying but more of like being shy of what your mother was doing. But it sure tickled my young heart. She may not have said it directly but she showed me that problems in life no matter what their size is can be lightened up by being cheerful.
Now that I'm a mother as well, I try to loosen up a bit with my kids from time to time. We sing every Disney song we have while on the road, dance crazy steps, and play a racing game at the mall. I realized that my kids are growing up fast right before my eyes. It's true that you got to enjoy every bit of it while it lasts.
